Deb Getz, Re.D., CYC-P, is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington, where she leads the Youth Development major and minor. Her work focuses on creating authentic, experience-based learning opportunities that connect students with community needs and strengthen outcomes for children, youth, and families. Through dual-credit programs, collaborative partnerships, and community-engaged initiatives, she brings high school and college students together to address the emotional, physical, and structural challenges that affect healthy development. Getz is committed to preparing the next generation of youth-serving professionals and advancing the Child and Youth Care field. She serves as President of the Child and Youth Care Certification Board (CYCCB), which certifies youth workers across the United States, Canada, and internationally. For more than 15 years, she has also provided leadership in the prevention of online exploitation and human trafficking through education, community engagement, workforce development, and applied research.
