Have you ever felt like your program is operating in isolation, even while facing challenges that others across the out-of-school time field are navigating as well? This session is designed to help you move beyond that and tap into the strength of the broader OST network.
Strong programs are not built alone. They are strengthened through connection, collaboration, and access to the right resources at the right time. In this workshop, you will explore how engagement with the statewide OST field can help address real challenges within your program and expand opportunities for youth, families, and staff.
Participants will be introduced to a simple framework for identifying a current challenge or opportunity within their program and mapping it to potential supports across the OST ecosystem, including partnerships, professional learning, advocacy, and shared resources. Using this framework, you will identify one concrete connection or action step that can help move your program forward.
Through guided reflection and discussion, you will clarify where your program could benefit from deeper engagement and how to take the next step. You will leave this session with a clear, actionable plan for strengthening your program through connection, along with a better understanding of how to plug into the broader OST field to support your work.
