This interactive session showcases two innovative summer learning models—Summer Learning Fun at Camp Adventure and the High Riding Art and Equestrian Camp—that achieve dual impact: enriching summer experiences for youth while providing transformative, high-impact immersive learning for pre-service teachers. Both programs address summer learning loss, foster social-emotional growth, and close opportunity gaps for underserved children. At the same time, they prepare future educators with authentic, hands-on experience in planning, teaching, and community engagement. Participants will explore measurable outcomes, including academic gains, stronger teaching readiness, and increased confidence among pre-service teachers. The session offers practical strategies for building partnerships between higher education, K–12 schools, and community organizations to design impactful summer programming.
