Dr. Ruth Jefferson has over 30 years of experience in special education and teacher preparation. She earned her doctorate in special education and has taught at Ball State University for more than two decades, specializing in inclusive education, experiential learning, and teacher training. She founded the High Riding Art and Equestrian Camp, an immersive learning program that combines equestrian activities, arts, and nature-based learning to serve children with and without disabilities in rural Indiana. The camp also serves as a high-impact immersive learning opportunity for university students, preparing them to work effectively with diverse learners in authentic, community-based settings.
