Speaker Bio
Brianna Goode serves as the Farm to School Coordinator for the Indiana Department of Health, where she helps schools, early childhood programs, and community organization connect with local farmers, incorporate garden and food education, and expand access to fresh, Indiana-grown food. Brianna brings a rich background in elementary education and a deep commitment to experiential learning. Before transitioning into food systems work, she spent years in the classroom, where she saw firsthand how hands-on learning can inspire curiosity, build confidence, and support student wellness. Brianna's passion for farm to table is also personal--she and her family run a small homestead where they grow food, raise animals, and practice sustainable living. This firsthand experience informs her practice and approachable style when working with schools and community programs across the state. In her current role, Brianna supports local procurement efforts, develops resources for educators and food service professionals, and helps build statewide momentum for farm to school and farm to early care initiatives that nourish both children and communities.
