Fred is an accomplished leader with over 20 years of experience in enterprise technology solutions and youth career pathway programs. He served as Director of Michigan’s largest full-day, all-day, 9th-12th grade high school work-study program at Detroit Cristo Rey High School, where he expanded corporate partnerships and revenue while advancing student career readiness initiatives. Prior to his work in education, Mr. Lumpkin achieved significant success in corporate America, driving revenue growth for various Fortune 1000 organizations in the technology sector. As Co-Founder of Work for Tomorrow, he developed Optimal Path, an innovative technology platform designed to streamline the management of career development and talent pipeline programs for educational and youth-serving organizations. He is also an adjunct faculty member in Information Technology, committed to equipping afterschool leaders with technology-driven strategies to enhance program effectiveness, sustainability, and measurable impact.
