Name
Advocacy That Works: Turning Your Program’s Story Into Influence
Date & Time
Wednesday, April 15, 2026, 10:15 AM - 11:00 AM
Description

Have you ever wondered how to effectively communicate your program’s value to the people who make decisions that impact your work? This session is designed to help out-of-school time providers do exactly that.

Your programs are filled with powerful examples of impact on youth, families, and communities. In this workshop, you will learn how to translate those experiences into clear, compelling messages that resonate with elected officials, funders, and community leaders.

Participants will be introduced to a simple framework for communicating program impact and will use that framework to develop a concise 30–60 second advocacy message. Through guided practice, you will refine your message and build confidence delivering it in real-world conversations with decision-makers.

You will leave this session with a practical advocacy message you can use immediately, along with the tools and confidence to effectively represent your program and its impact.

Please note that our presenter will be joining this session virtually.
