Too often, youth are defined by what they “lack” instead of what they can contribute. Positive Youth Development (PYD) flips that script, focusing on strengths, relationships, and opportunities for growth. In this session, OST professionals will explore the PYD framework, learn the “5 Cs” of youth thriving, and practice ways to design everyday activities that build competence, confidence, connection, character, and caring. Participants will leave with practical tools to shift from a deficit lens to a strengths-based mindset, empowering youth to reach their fullest potential.
