How Out-of-School Time Can Heal, Empower, and Lead Our Youth Forward
Date & Time
Tuesday, April 14, 2026, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Description

In an era of uncertainty, identity crises, and emotional trauma, out-of-school time programs must do more than occupy time—they must empower youth to reclaim their voice, worth, and purpose. Based on The Miseducation of the Negro in the 21st Century and the Knowledge of SELF Curriculum, this session introduces a culturally grounded, trauma-informed SEL model that equips OST leaders to foster healing, leadership, and belonging. Attendees will experience hands-on activities, practical tools, and identity-affirming strategies to transform programming into a safe, liberating space where youth not only survive—but thrive.
