Description
The youth-serving field attracts many professionals who have their own histories of childhood adversity. While these experiences can foster deep empathy and connection with youth, they can also create challenges in professional settings if left unexamined. This thoughtful session will explore how Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and epigenetic factors influence our adult lives, relationships, and work with young people. Participants will gain insight into breaking generational cycles of trauma while developing comprehensive staff wellness strategies that support both personal healing and professional effectiveness in OST settings.
